Yes Huda! Thank you so much for sharing! Some of your picks are things I read in the early ‘70s when trying to understand our world from a perspective outside of the culture in which I grew up. Those choices mirror my feelings of “wow, here we go again”. Reading them again is a welcome reminder of where I’ve been and where we all are now. Time to saddle up!
This list is wonderful. Thank you! I’ve been foraging for support in my bookshelves and many of these are sitting in a pile to read. Thank you so much for recommendations so I can flesh out the pile.
It is comforting to know that others resonate with the same books and authors.
my thesis was about gendered children’s bibles and how they shape conceptions of gender in evangelical communities in the US. I had taken a feminist texts class of hers and she agreed to be on my committee!
Brilliant text — most I know— some I do not. This will influence how I develop my curriculum for my students: on and off campus. Thank you.
❤️
Amazing list thank you.
Someone also recommended to me "The Source of Self-Regard: Selected Essays, Speeches, and Meditations" by Toni Morrison. Wheewwwww ❤️
